Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is considered to be one of the most widespread chronic diseases, with almost 10% of the global adult population being diabetic or at risk of developing diabetes, characterized by high plasma glucose concentrations as a result of the inability of the body to adequately produce or use insulin effectively. Diabetes mellitus has been categorized into 3 main types; insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, non-insulation-dependent, gestational diabetes mellitus. Several complications associated with diabetes.
